Establishment
The University was established under legal authority granted by a provision in the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences Act of 2019 which governs the operations of the University.

Library
The MUBAS Library is the heart and an integral part of the University`s mission which revolves around teaching, research, consultancy, and public and community engagement. The Library plays a central role in ensuring the fulfilment of core academic initiatives. It strives to provide a dynamic information service to its clientele in order to give practical meaning to the University`s vision. Our library has resources in both print and electronic formats

Clinic
A good university does not only focus on academic excellence but also recognizes the importance of the health and well-being of its community. Healthy students and staff contribute significantly to the overall productivity and success of any institution. In line with this, the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) has made health care a priority since its inception, establishing an on-campus clinic that provides essential medical services to its students and staff at no cost.
Services Offered
The clinic offers a wide range of medical services to cater to the diverse needs of our students and staff:
Primary Care: Routine check-ups, treatment for common illnesses, and referrals to specialists if necessary.
Health Education: Workshops, seminars, and resources to promote health awareness, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Immunizations and Vaccinations: Providing essential vaccines to protect against infectious diseases and ensure a healthy campus community.
Women’s Health Services: Comprehensive gynecological care, family planning, and reproductive health services.
Counseling and Mental Health Support: Confidential counseling services to support emotional and psychological well-being, ensuring a supportive environment for mental health.
Emergency Care: Immediate attention and care for medical emergencies on campus.
Sexual and Reproductive Health Services: This includes treatment and preventive measures for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The clinic provides diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and education to prevent STIs and promote sexual health awareness.
Family Planning: The clinic offers a range of family planning options, including condoms and contraceptive methods
HIV/AIDS Services: This include Voluntary HIV testing, HIV Self Testing kits and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP).
Location and Hours of Operation
The campus clinic is conveniently located at the heart of MUBAS main campus. The Clinic opens at 8:00 am and closes at 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. It is closed on weekends and public holidays.
